NBSC Strengthens Partnership with PCO and LGU-MF Through Coordination Meeting
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) successfully hosted a coordination meeting with the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich (LGU-MF) on September 17, 2025, at the NBSC Board Room. The meeting aimed to strengthen inter-agency collaboration in support of the College’s development programs and security initiatives.
Representing NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE were Engr. Jestoni G. Tortola, Head of the Project Management and Monitoring Office; Fritchar H. Gevero, Head of the General Services Office; and John Mark L. Boyonas, Coordinator for Campus Safety and Security. From the Presidential Communications Office, the delegation was led by Atty. Ruth Abigail C. Sestoso, Undersecretary for Administration, Finance, and GOCCs, along with Atty. Ronadale M. Zapata, Assistant Secretary; Ms. Alana Hazel G. Vencila-Cultura, Administrative Officer V; and the rest of their team. Members of the Department of Public Works and Highways also attended, together with Ms. Janet F. Abrio, Head of the General Services Division of the LGU-MF.
The discussions revisited and clarified the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding between PCO and NBSC, defined clear roles and responsibilities in maintenance, security, and safety, and tackled updates regarding the construction of the NBSC perimeter fence. The meeting also discussed plans for land use and development within the NBSC premises. Moreover, it highlighted the importance of stronger coordination among NBSC, PCO, and LGU-MF to ensure the smooth implementation of ongoing and future initiatives.
With the spirit of collaboration at the center of the meeting, NBSC expressed optimism in moving forward with its partners on a positive note. The strengthened partnership is seen as a vital step in advancing the College’s mission to provide a secure, progressive, and well-supported academic environment for its students and the community it serves.
